The Executive Track offersa full day of sessions devoted to the world of data, data insights, and how to use data to better communicate about programs, problems and successes, funding needs, and more. The Leadership Development Track is designed for strengthening confidence and enhancing attendee team building skills for supervisors, managers, coordinators and more.

This course is the most comprehensive training program on playground hazard identification and risk management methods offered anywhere. Advanced reading and 15 hours of training from nationally known playground safety experts will prepare participants to "sit” for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector Examination offered at the culmination of the certification course.

Topics include:

  • Identifying hazards on playgrounds
  • Developing risk management tools
  • Legal aspects of having a comprehensive safety program
  • Test methods for entrapment, protrusions, and entanglements

Share your achievements with an audience full of recreation and park professionals. WRPA is looking for talented presenters who can speak to best practices and trends relevant to our audience.

We have extended the submission deadline for our 2019 request for presentations for the WRPA Conference & Tradeshow. Industry professionals from around the Puget Sound region and beyond are encouraged to submit plans to share their expertise, best practices, and tips with their peers.

Learn more about the process and be sure to submit your proposal before September 28, 2018. Remember, accepted speakers can attend the day they are presenting for free, or they can attend both days for the price of one at the member rate.

  Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)

The CPSI certification program provides the most comprehensive and up-to-date training on playground safety issues including hazard identification, equipment specifications, surfacing requirements, and risk management methods.
