RCO Conversion Policy Update

Did you know that if you build projects with RCO funds there are obligations and restrictions on what you can and can’t do with that property for many years, sometimes forever. Even if you inherited the property or improvements from another agency, the improvements are long gone due to lifecycle issues or your city needs the land for other uses like transportation or utility improvements, utilities or you want to build an indoor facility like a pool or community center. The obligations and restrictions run with the land, not the improvement. RCO realizes that sometimes things change and they have a conversion program that requires replacement and compliance with policies.

On Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM Myra Barker will share some insight on the Proposed Exception to Conversion policy change which will provide flexibility in addressing uses or conveyances that have minimal impact on the grant-funded property and its intended purpose and function.  If you’re new to project development or want to learn more about your role and responsibilities please join us on a Join Zoom Meeting. They are accepting public comments until March 1.
