Applications for Recreation and Conservation Funding Board grants are due on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, by 11:59 p.m. If you have started an application, or are thinking of applying, for a grant for your recreation or conservation project – there’s not much time left.
During this first grant round, the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is accepting grant proposals for the following programs:
- Aquatic Lands Enhancement Account(ALEA)
- Boating Infrastructure Grant(BIG)
- Community Forests Program(CFP)
- Land and Water Conservation Fund(LWCF)
- Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program(WWRP-Recreation;WWRP-Habitat;WWRP-Forestland;WWRP-Farmland)
- Youth Athletic Facilities(YAF)
Applications are accepted inPRISM Online. RCO’s Web site has been updated. To find grant information, including grant manuals and Applicant To-Do Lists, follow the program links above, or click/hover on the Grants tab at the top of the RCO Home Page and select the grant program you are interested in. Be sure to view the At a Glance page in grant manuals to see key changes for this year. On February 14, RCO conducted a series of application webinars that include information about grants offered, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and program changes. Recordings of these application webinars can be found using the following links:
- Parks Application Webinar: This webinar is for applicants interested in the ALEA, BIG, YAF, and WWRP-Recreation grant programs.
- Habitat Conservation Application Webinar: This webinar is for applicants interested in grant programs that provide funds for habitat conservation projects in ALEA and WWRP-Habitat.
- Land and Water Conservation Fund Application Webinar: This webinar is for applicants interested in the LWCF federal program that funds parks and conservation areas.
- Working Lands Application Webinar: This webinar is for applicants interested in preserving farmland, forestland, and community forests in WWRP-Farmland, WWRP-Forestland, and CFP.
