Actually Make Decisions at Meetings

Session Description: Hone your facilitation skills by taking a deep dive into how to prep meetings and facilitation plans for decision. Stop wasting staff time, and start facilitating effective and successful meetings where the group can make decisions on the spot.  The focus of this presentation is the role of a project manager as facilitator with internal audiences. This presentation includes an overview of meeting prep work, facilitator tools, and templates that have been found effective in facilitating a group through the decision making process.  The goal-attendees leave this presentation with a new understanding of their responsibilities as facilitators in ensuring effective group decision making, and tools on how to create a goal orientated and focused meeting environment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand your role and responsibility as a facilitator.
  2. Understand the preparation work involved in preparing for meeting facilitation, so that group time is used effectively. .
  3. Gain ideas for tools, tactics, and meeting structure to be used to ensure decisions are made during meetings and the group understand the decision being discussed.
