Good afternoon and Happy New Year, all:
Regarding one of our WRPA Legislative Agenda top priority items for 2021—new local parks funding options— I wanted to give a shout-out to four agencies on the Kitsap Peninsula who sent a terrific letter of support to Sen. Christine Rolfes (D-Bainbridge Island/23rd Dist.), the Chairwoman of the Senate Ways & Means Committee. Mayors and principals from Bremerton, Poulsbo, the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners, and Bainbridge Island Metro Parks signed/sent the letter.
For all of you, anything you can do to similarly signal strong support for the legislation, Senate Bill 5006 & House Bill 1025 would be appreciated!
