In Memory of Scott Gallacher
On behalf of the WRPA Board of Directors, we are deeply saddened to have learned of the sudden and unexpected passing of Key Pen Parks Executive Director and long-time WRPA member Scott Gallacher. Scott was an active member of our association who regularly attended regional meetings, legislative events, and state conferences. He will be greatly missed both within the Key Pen Parks community and throughout our state.

Scott's passing was a complete shock to me. Scott and I broke into the recreation field together so this was a hard one to digest. My condolences go out to Scott's wife and children during this difficult time. Kirsten, we are thinking about you! Scott had a heart of gold and a true love for his family. Even while serving as Executive Director at Key Pen, he continued to umpire softball games and referee basketball games so, in his words, he could save up a few extra bucks to provide his family with a nice vacation. He was always willing to go the extra mile, or just help out a friend. We will miss you Scott!
I had the privilege of working with and getting to know Scott this year during our youth basketball season. He will be truly missed and my heart goes out to his family.
I'll certainly miss Scott. I only got to know him a little bit, but in that time I saw he was a thoughtful man with a good sense of humor. He will be missed.
The news of Scott's death was a blow. My heart goes out to his wife, Kirsten, and kids. Sending love to his family. Rest in Peace, Scooter.
