WRPA 2019 Annual Conference and Tradeshow  Keeping Up With Capital Replacements: Crawl, Walk Run Wednesday, April 10 | 10:45am - 12:00pm  Session Description: Finding funding to replace aging assets can be overwhelming, especially in an environment of resource scarcity. This session will share the lessons learned and strategies implemented over a 15-year period at Tualitin Hills Parks and Recreation District to tackle a mountain of backlogged maintenance. Participants will get a detailed look at the process THPRD used to develop a replacement funding strategy including measuring needs, prioritizing funding, and building future reserves.

Speakers:  Keith Hobson, Director of Business and Facilities, Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District About the Speakers: Keith has been with Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District for 18 years. He is responsible for budget, financial planning, and facility management; as such he has been actively engaged with funding for capital asset construction, maintenance, and replacement. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Public Administration from Portland State University.   |
