Join colleagues for an engaging Walk & Talk experience down the Seattle Waterfront on Thursday, September 17, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM that explores the planning, partnerships, and community impact behind a dynamic waterfront destination. Through guided discussions and site visits, participants will gain insights into placemaking, public space activation, and collaborative approaches to creating vibrant community assets. Lunch will be provided by NW Playground. RSVP HereSchedule11:00 AM | Meet & Welcome – Gather at the covered area next to Boon Boona Coffee for introductions and an overview of the Seattle Waterfront project, including its history and vision. 11:30 AM | Lunch – Sponsored by Northwest Playground. 12:00 PM | Pier 62 Stop – Michael Johnson, Director of Park Experience, Friends of Waterfront Seattle, discusses the partnership with the City to activate the waterfront. 12:30 PM | Walk to the Waterfront Playground – Learn about the vision, design, and strategy behind the waterfront playground from Northwest Playgrounds. 1:00 PM | Program Concludes – Dismissal from the Waterfront Playground. Accessibility Note: This guided Walk & Talk covers less than one mile on mostly flat, paved surfaces and includes some stairs. Participants should be comfortable walking and standing for up to two hours.
