Executive Committee

Chair:  Ethan Newton

Duties:  maintain section business, review scholarship applications, programming, grant the WRPA Aquatic Section Recognition Award, and prepare officer nominations for following year.

 

Programming Committee

Chair:  Ethan Newton

Members:  Executive Committee

Duties:  WRPA annual conference, WRPA mid-year conference, water fitness workshop, summer skill builder, and any other programming or special events.

 

Membership Committee

Chair:  Pat Patterson

Members:  District Representatives and interested members

Duties:  encourage recruitment, recognize new members, update membership roster, distribute 2-3 recruitment mailings to non-members.

 

Public and Professional Awareness Committee

Chair:  Tom Wunderlich

Members:  District Representatives and interested members

Duties:  responsible for publications approved by executive committee, newsletters, submit articles to the syllabus, and provide media coverage.

 

Education and Research Committee

Chair: Tom Wunderlich

Members:  District Representatives and interested members

Duties:  enlisting interest and support of research projects and studies by other agencies submitting reports on subjects requested by the Executive Committee working in conjunction with other agencies such as Department of Health, SPI, Department of Health Services, and to be a liaison resource for professional aquatic organizations.

 

Drowning Prevention Network

Chair:  Amy Collins

Members:  Interested Parties

Duties:  Coordinate the annual Washington State April Pools Day and Summer Splash-Tacular events in conjunction with the Drowning Prevention Network.
