Standing the Heat will examine a range of contemporary adaptive leadership concepts and asks the question whether we are prepared to challenge conventional thinking. Discussion on the complexion of parks and recreation today, the non-defensible actions that many agencies continue to employ and how to evaluate the difference between status quo reactionary management (including antiquated operational practices versus strategic thinking) and sound business acumen. This workshop will assist in enabling agencies to position themselves for long term health and effectiveness.
