Welcome to the Facility Services Section (FSS) of WRPA.

Who are we?  The FSS membership currently consists of superintendents, facility managers, recreation coordinators, facility and parks schedulers, administrative staff and other parks and recreation professionals.  These professionals work in facility management and related support positions that operate, manage, and/or schedule community centers, parks, picnic shelters, athletic fields and other public facilities in the State of Washington.

What’s our Goal?  Our goal is to provide each member with the numerous professional and quality opportunities to train staff, network and share best practices and numerous ideas.  This section has a lot of experienced individuals who are willing to share their successes, failures and general philosophies.  There will be tremendous value in simply attending meetings and listening.  However, the more you participate, the more you will get out of this section!

How often do we meet?  While we would like to meet monthly, we realize most can’t invest that much time due to the travel required for each meeting.  So, in an attempt to offer more topics with less of a time commitment, we decided to hold 4 meetings per year with 2 main topics per meeting. Click here (Facility Section Calendar) for a complete listing of meeting and training topics.
