Golf Tournament

If kicking a ball is not your thing, then swing a club at one instead. Play the challenging 18-hole Championship course at Meadow Park Golf Course! Designed by acclaimed course architect, John Ball, the course has been a fixture in South Tacoma for nearly 100 years.

WRPA will have an 18 hole tournament on April 29th at 12:00PM.

Foot Golf Tournament

Metro Parks Tacoma is proud to offer a great municipal golf facility for players of all ages and skill levels.A new and exciting game that is a blend of soccer and golf that originated in Netherlands, has landed at Meadow Park Golf Course in Tacoma. FootGolf is a fun fast-paced game that can be played in about 90 minutes. FootGolf is played with a soccer ball on a golf course with a tee box, green bunkers, hazards, scorecard and 18 holes to play. The differences are the cups, which are 21" in diameter, the ball, shorter holes, and the fact that the players kick the ball instead of using clubs.

WRPA will have an 18 hole tournament on April 29th at 3:00PM.

Learn the rules so that you can win the tournament! Dress in your best FootGolf attire (whatever that might mean!) and win the costume contest.

Tour de Tacoma Parks - a Guided Experience

Take a tour of Metro Parks Tacoma’s top parks and facilities, places that have served to transform Tacoma and its neighborhoods! Visit spraygrounds, playgrounds, community centers, a skate park, waterfront park and experience the historic 100+ year-old W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory. Stops will include the Center at Norpoint, the fabulous new STAR Center, Titlow Park and Titlow Lodge, and Wright Park, a 27-acre arboretum with a rich collection of more than 616 trees (138 species), including 30 state champions.

A box lunch is included and transportation is provided; tour begins and ends at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel across from the Convention Center.

Schedule:
10:00am – Depart from Courtyard by Marriot Hotel
10:30am - Center at Norpoint tour
11:00am – Depart Center at Norpoint
11:37am - STAR Center tour
12:00pm – Boxed lunches and depart STAR Center
12:30pm - Titlow Park tour
1:00pm – Depart Titlow Park
1:30 pm - Wright Park tour
2:00pm - Return to Courtyard by Marriott

$59 for members, and $69 for non-members
(CORRECTION: Parking is not free, it costs $10 to park at the Courtyard Marriott and $10 to park at the GTCTC. A boxed lunch is included!)
